With a background in Environmental Science, my work integrates field and laboratory approaches to investigate metal bioaccumulation and partitioning, contaminant dynamics, and physiological and cellular stress responses in aquatic plants and animals.

My research aims to improve our understanding of how contaminants interact with biological systems and influence ecosystem health in tropical marine environments. I focus on the development of sediment toxicity tests and establishing bioavailability-based contaminant thresholds to better inform the management and protection of tropical coastal and marine ecosystems.
