Our locations

Our headquarters near Townsville, in North Queensland is an international landmark in tropical marine science and home to the National Sea Simulator (SeaSim)

Our Perth office is based in Western Australia’s marine science hub – the Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre, on UWA’s Crawley campus, and city gateway to our research on Australia’s north-west shelf.

AIMS' Darwin home is within the Arafura Timor Research Facility, nestled with the North Australia campus of the Australian National University (ANU) and Charles Darwin University (CDU). Our most northerly offices and laboratories provide excellent access to field work across Australia’s vast and remote northern marine estate.
