Bozena is a marine scientist with extensive experience in oceanographic observations, bio-optical research, and data quality management. Her career spans roles at CSIRO and the University of Gdansk, where she specialized in biogeochemical observations, marine bio-optics, and remote sensing applications. Bozena holds a Ph.D. in Oceanography and has contributed to international collaborations, fieldwork at sea, and numerous peer-reviewed publications. She is passionate about advancing marine observation systems and ensuring high-quality data for research and operational use.
As Marine Observations Coordinator at the Australian Institute of Marine Science, she provides scientific oversight for key ocean monitoring programs, including AIMS Weather Stations, Northern Australia Sea Temperature Observing Program, and IMOS Queensland and Northern Territory Coastal Wave Buoys sub-facility.
