A consortium of world-renowned vessel designers has been appointed by the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) to complete the detailed design of a new state-of-the-art marine research vessel.
The vessel in our fleet is in Queensland waters for the first time, to help scientists conduct a 25-day health check of remote far northern reefs.

AIMS has welcomed 60 international scientists and data analysts to the 76th Multibeam Sonar Training course at Townsville headquarters.

Australian and New Zealand scientific research organisations establish the first formal collaboration for their research ships.
