I received my PhD in 2003 from the School of Biological Sciences (Monash University) where I studied the effects of nutritional stresses on the feeding behaviour and activity patterns of free-ranging koalas. From 2004-2011 I was a lecturer in zoology and biostatistics within the School of Biological Sciences (Monash University) before joining AIMS in 2011 as a biostatistician.
Roles
BiostatisticianÂ
Statistical analyses of marine biological and environmental data
Development of software tools and systems for data analysis
Production of statistical resources and courses to support an increase in AIMS'quantitative capacity
Most of my current research centres around supporting the design and analysis requirements of other scientists across multiple programs within AIMS. Nevertheless, my statistical interests span a variety of fields particularly at the interfaces of making advanced, modern statistical techniques more generally palatable for ecologists and developing convenient conduits to automated analyses routines.
