ResearchInvestigating the role of upwelling, warming and mixing on the oceans' temperature structure with application to productivity hot spots and coral bleaching. The work combines the use of in situ observations, remote sensing and hydrodynamic modeling to address key coral reef and shelf circulation processes.
A significant role is managing the implementation and delivery of the Queensland and Northern Australian Integrated Marine Observing System Mooring and Satellite Remote Sensing sub-facilities
