RRAP has contracted a set of large field trials across a range of disciplines and RRAP partners. These field trials are a critical and highly visible component of RRAP and larger co-ordination of this set of trials is required as a result of new complex interlocking permits and external providers now participating in trials.

About this Opportunity

A newly created role as a result of the need for a high level of coordination across large field trials, you will focus on delivering a coordinated set of major RRAP field trials, providing leadership and coordination across the program, and undertaking significant stakeholder engagement to underpin the delivery of these programs.

You will have oversight of and coordinate to a number of key functions which will include marine and shore-based logistics, managing a suite of permits, external participation, research infrastructure and Traditional Owner capacity building to underpin the successful delivery of these trials. Your ability to influence and coordinate across key functions and with individuals both within AIMS and across our RRAP partner organisations will be key to ensuring that our large field trial program is well organised and coordinated.

About you

You will display on a daily basis, your experience in program and project management, and your highly developed organisational and coordination skills. Your tertiary qualification in science, engineering or a related field will support your interest and understanding in the major scientific, societal and policy challenges facing the Great Barrier Reef.

You will thrive in dynamic, fast-moving environments where the emphasis is on planning, coordinating and running workshops, committees or group activities and meetings. You will have proven influencing and stakeholder engagement capabilities, coupled with highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. As well as an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and problem solve on the fly.

Experience in advanced risk assessment and management, project controls and managing complicated and high-profile scientific field programs would be highly desirable. As would experience assessing and managing risk and gaining social and regulatory licence in an area with complex ecological drivers.
