About this exciting Opportunity

We have an opportunity to join our dynamic and supportive People and Culture team as a Remuneration Officer on a part-time basis over 4 days per fortnight. Your primary focus will be to provide ongoing support to the Payroll Administrator to assist in ensuring AIMS’s payroll function is delivered in a timely manner each fortnight for approximately 280 employees.

You will play an integral role in the employee experience by accurately and efficiently administering payroll records and responding to payroll related queries. You can expect to be:

  • processing payroll transactions for timesheets, leave applications, staff data changes, salary payments, new employee setup, and employee cessations,
  • undertaking accurate and ongoing interpretation on payroll enquiries and transactions,
  • maintaining electronic record-keeping for all remuneration transactions,
  • interpreting, applying, and advising staff on general conditions of employment and associated policies,
  • working closely with all areas of the People and Culture team to provide administrative support, and
  • when required undertaking the duties of the Payroll Administrator for leave coverage periods. Additional hours would be required during those occasions.

About you

We are looking for an experienced administration professional to join us, who has excellent attention to detail and accuracy, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work cooperatively in a team-based environment. Additionally, you will have:

  • Experience working in administrative roles within Payroll, Human Resource or Finance teams
  • High level accuracy and proficiency in the interpretation of information and data entry into electronic systems, ideally with TechnologyOne and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
  • High level of competency in the use of databases and spreadsheet applications
  • Previous experience in payroll processing, including interpreting relevant legislation, enterprise agreements and policies would be highly desirable

  • AIMS AOF Level 3 salary ($68,759 to $77,477 per annum, pro rata) plus 15.4% superannuation

1. Non-Australian Citizens must hold an appropriate Visa with working entitlements that allows paid employment with AIMS for the term of the appointment, depending on the relevant Department of Home Affairs current policies.

Whilst it is not currently a mandatory requirement for this role, AIMS reserves the right to review its position and policy on mandatory vaccinations.
