About this Exciting Opportunity

You will be joining an already established multi-disciplinary Finance team who provide a holistic range of financial support, advice and products to AIMS staff. You will take on a key business partnering role to this team, providing strategic financial advisory and analysis developing financial models and financial analysis to support AIMS Management.

Working closely with the Finance Manager on Council budget and forecasting, you will take a lead role in identifying any trends or risk areas and support the strategic goals of AIMS to drive improvements on business plans. You’ll lead the coordination of budget and forecasting processes, carry out scenario modelling to analyse and validate business strategies and plans, and develop financial models that support a portfolio of complex strategic projects.

As a senior, you’ll provide oversight to a small team of project accountants to support the development of comprehensive budgets and forecasts ensuring Government objectives and statutory requirements are met. About you

An experienced analyst, you will have highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills that demonstrate using financial business models to find solutions. CPA/CA qualified or post graduate tertiary studies in Business, Finance or a relevant discipline, you will also be well versed in:

  • Influencing and engaging with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation, especially executive levels • Leading a small high performing team, fostering a culture of thinking creatively and working collaboratively to solve business challenges
  • Information gathering, actively listening, interpreting and clarifying information to ensure executive level presentations made on strategic goals and forecasts are accurate
  • Budget setting and management reporting processes, and you’ll have a strong mind for business performance improvements
