About this Exciting Opportunity
As the first point of contact both internally and externally for operational matters for the WA Facility, this fast-paced and broad role will provide leadership and general management support for the day-to-day operations across operational, administrative and research functions for the AIMS Perth Facility and work with the Director of the Sustainable Use of North-West Marine Ecosystems Research Program to ensure timely and effective operations and delivery of research outcomes.
A multi-disciplinary team of administrative, project management, generalist technical and scientific support staff that you lead will support you to manage site functions including managing budgets, logistics, field planning, human resources, infrastructure scheduling, client liaison, policy, and procedural interpretation. Your role will ensure operational consistency as an interface with all Head Office corporate support functions, as well as ensure that the Sustainable Use of North-West Marine Ecosystems Research Program’s contracted projects achieve and deliver to milestones. Your will also oversee the operational annual budget. At AIMS, the way we work guides our team members' on their collective journey towards the successful delivery of our AIMS Strategy 2025 targets.

- AIMS AOF Level 5 salary ($109,976 to $120,564 per annum) plus 15.4% superannuation

- Non-Australian Citizens must hold an appropriate Visa with working entitlements that allows paid employment with AIMS for the term of the appointment, depending on the relevant Department of Home Affairs current policies.
- It is a requirement of this role that you are and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Please note the sighting of proof of vaccination will be required as a pre commencement requirement.
You will have extensive experience managing a wide range of operational, project coordination and administrative functions, coupled with a relevant tertiary qualification or experience. As a strong communicator, you will be confident, thinking strategically and creatively to resolve issues that arise in a dynamic and changing environment.
Known for your exceptional organisational skills and building collaborative working partnerships across all levels, you will have previous experience in financial management, developing budgets and tracking expenditure, and using Project Management systems (like MS Teams, MS Project).
Experience coordinating research projects, managing subcontracts and service providers, and handling logistic and travel bookings would be highly desirable.
