You will drive core components of two iconic, large-scale projects: the innovative Digital Reef Challenge Project, and engineering aspects of the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program.
You will provide leadership in designing and establishing the systems and development processes required to deliver operational capabilities and outcomes critical for the future of our nation’s marine economy. You would be motivated to achieve the targets of the AIMS Strategy 2025, to provide positive environmental, social and economic impact for Australia’s marine estate. The successful candidate will be rewarded with:
- AIMS AOF Level 7 Salary ($137,124 to $153,264 per annum)
- 15.4% superannuation
- Generous leave provisions
- Full-time, 3-year opportunity
Underpinning your suitability for this position will be tertiary qualifications in Engineering, specialising in Systems/Project Engineering or another relevant field. As a high performing and innovative project leader, you will show proven success in international stakeholder engagement and business development. You’ll have managed complex projects and led a geographically-dispersed multi-disciplinary team, and can demonstrate your:
- Substantial experience with applying systems engineering thinking at both an initiative and project scale with novel solutions to achieve complex missions and outcomes;
- Extensive relevant project management experience with the ability to intuitively design contingency strategies and deliver the plan to meet project milestones, especially for complex technology integration and testing;
- Broad understanding of the national and international science and technology landscape, ideally of marine ecosystems; and
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
