In Queensland all mangroves, and any part of a mangrove
(seeds, propagules, leaves, stumps, etc.), are specifically protected under the Queensland
Fisheries Act.
Any activity involving mangrove forests or plants requires a permit from the
Queensland Department of Primary Industries.
