Remote data stations
WEATHER STATIONS AND OCEANOGRAPHIC BUOYS

The Australian Institute of Marine Science operates and maintains a series of remote data stations situated on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland and Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia.

All stations - last three readings

Note on data conventions
Data from AIMS weather stations is displayed using the meteorological convention where the reported direction is the direction from which the wind is blowing.

Data from oceanographic buoys is displayed in the oceanographic convention: That is, the direction the current is flowing towards, measured in degrees clockwise from North. Current speed is displayed in centimetres per second (cm/s).
