Reef in Queensland and Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia.

are NOT indicative of wind speeds generally in this area. This is
because the Orpheus AWS is situated on the lee side of Orpheus island
and is protected from SE winds.
Wind speeds measured by
the Bureau of Meteorology automatic
weather station at Lucinda
would be more indicative
of winds generally in the area.
