AIMS ships - Cruise information
The Institute's Field Operations section facilitates safe
and cost effective marine science technical support in all field work and oversees the
vessels' management contractor and produce in consultation with the voyage planning
committee, an annual ships schedule.
Field Operations also provide expert advice and technical
support to oceanographic field activities, and ensure all diving at AIMS is conducted
safely by trained and qualified personnel.
Field Operations maintain all small boats and marine
equipment in survey where necessary and all other equipment in serviceable condition.
