Paragraph 2 states unestablished time frame
Amendment:
If commercial sponges are identified this could pave the way for
the development of cottage industries in Northern Territory coastal
communities.
It is too early to put a time frame on how quickly those industries
may develop, as local sponge species must first be tested for growth
rates, optimal culture conditions and commercial properties.
The project is a huge collaborative effort involving AIMS, the
Northern Territory and Federal Governments, Indigenous representative
bodies, Lo-tech aquaculture and local aboriginal groups.
