Tidal predictors

AIMS has developed data files that can be used with WTides to predict tidal movements at: Port Hurd, Australia; Awarange Bay, South Sulawesi; and Hurun Bay, Sumatra.

To access these files, you will need to:

  • Download the free software for WTides from http://www.wtides.com/
  • Create a directory on your computer called:

            C:\Program Files\MDR\WTides\Data

  • Unzip the ACIAR_Harmonics file into this directory.
  • You will then be able to see the tidal predictions for the above areas when you open up WTides.
