Mission and vision

The purpose of AIMS is summarised in its mission statement:

“To generate and transfer knowledge to support the sustainable use and protection of the marine environment through innovative, world class scientific and technological research.”

To fulfil this mission, AIMS follows a set of strategic directions that are designed to marshal its strengths and resources.
