The Institute operates from facilities in Townsville Queensland, Darwin Northern Territory and Perth Western Australia.
About this Opportunity
You be responsible for providing high quality technical and logistical support to our water quality team. Your work will combine the analysis of samples in our laboratory as well as coordinating and participating in regular field work associated with our water quality research, both through small boat day trips to oceanographic ship cruises.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-leading organisation with attractive working conditions including a 9-day fortnight, generous leave entitlements, transportation to site, a salary range of $62,277 - $78,074 and 15.4% superannuation.
This role is being offered for a 3 year term and will be based in Townsville, Queensland.
You will have a degree in Science or Chemistry with experience working in a marine or water analytical laboratory.
You will be familiar with laboratory sampling techniques and demonstrate competence to operate related analytical instruments. Proven experience in participating in marine field work and diving and boating qualifications will be highly regarded.
